Cos your waist is small and your curves are kickin’
Here’s a story. For a very long time - years - I’ve loved Sir Mixalot’s ‘I Like Big Butts’. I dance to it whenever it comes on, loudly and louchely, and I sing along to most of the words I can remember while drunk.
But I only realised the other night that when he sings, ‘So Cosmo says you’re fat, well I ain’t down with that’ that he’s talking about Cosmopolitan and the institutionalised habit of beauty magazines to make us hate ourselves.
I always thought he was referring to some generic white guy called Cosmo who didn’t appreciate junk in the trunk, and I always pictured Cosmo as short with a straggly mustache.

He ain’t down with that
The End.
